DNN Mode: View, Edit, Layout Not Working

    Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    I have both a development pc and a production server that I am running DNN 6.1 on.  When on a page that contains the Dynamic Registration module 4.1, the DNN Mode does not work, and I cannot switch back and forth from view mode and edit mode.

    I can switch from edit to view on all other pages that contain other modules, including Dynamic Forms.   If I navigate to the home page and change from edit to view and then navigate back to the Dynamic Registration page, it appears perfectly in view mode.  I then have to navigate to another page and back if I want to change back to edit mode.  Not the most effective work flow.

    Any ideas?

    Not sure if this is related or not, but the dynamic registration pages load slowly.  If I click on the edit button to edit any control, the page refreshes with the controls edit screen, but takes about 8 seconds to complete the loading of the page before I can make any changes.  Using firebug, I encountered the following error: 

    A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script in the debugger, or let the script continue.

    Message: ‘this […].style’ is null or not an object
    Line: 16
    Char: 74940
    Code: 0

    Script: my-site.org/DesktopModules/DynamicRegistration/js/jquery.min.js 

    I have tried reinstalling the module, and when that failed to fix anything, I unistalled the module deleting files and did a fresh install. Still no luck.

    Hi Steve,

    We have been getting reports of this over the last few days with the latest 6.1 release which was posted... So this is something that we are still researching, since its affecting all (or most) of our modules we don't know yet if the issue is a bug with DNN 6.1 or a bug in our modules yet (too early to tell). So, we hope to have a fix soon.

    Thanks for getting back to me Chad.  I have noticed that the list of broken items keeps growing for the Dynamic Registration module.  If there is a patch forthcoming on either side (DNN or Datasprings), I will hold off reporting these and wait to see what gets fixed with the patch and what does not.

    DNN 6.1.1 just released this morning. Ran the update, and now I can switch back and forth from edit to view modes in Dynamic Registration. So that problem is fixed, but still having the issue with page load speed when editing a control.

    Well it appears that DNN 6.1.1 may have fixed the view/edit mode problem, but it broke the import/export pop-up window for Dynamic Registration. The pop-up still works for Dynamic Forms and other modules though. Also turning of “Enable Pop-Ups?” in site settings lets me get to the Import/Export window for DR, so at least it did not totally break that feature.
