    Hi everybody,
    I hope somebody can help me and give me some direction with this scenario, I can't figure it out. And the deadline is already there...

    In one of my forms, users upload two documents, and when they submit the form, they are assigned to a user role. The Users name, company etc. are default values from the Core database. I have a checkbox to submit the form and execute the question events. That works ok.

    Then another user have to check the documents, if they are ok, the form is submitted again and the role of the 1st user changes again to another role. Here it goes wrong, the usercredentials from the first user are replaced by the second user. 

    I have tried different aproches, but I can't figure out how to prevent the user information changes. 

    I followed the Workflow example #14, write the data in a flat table, but then I have to change the user role from the first user, when  the form is submitted.

    I have a Dyn.Views instance, that is ok to see the submitted data and files, but on edit, the form opens again with the credentials of the current user.

    Is there a way to prevent this? Or is there a way to change the user role from another user?

    I hope my questions make sense,

    Hi Bert,

    Well... If I am understanding you correctly you will need to pull in the UserID or UserName as a hidden field/default value from the initial form. Then from there you will need to probably use SQL Events to insert into the UserRoles table (or delete from the user roles table) and reference that $(HiddenField) in the SQL completion event instead of using the role event to handle what you are trying to do.

    If you search our forums there are many examples of users inserting/deleting and using SQL Events, especially for more complicated work flow such as what you described... I would probably start there and if you need more direct assistance (SQL Events aren to part of our standard support) then you can always go the Premium Support route by picking up hours at http://www.datasprings.com/PremiumSupport

    Hi... Yes, I emailed you earlier (responded to your email). Basically we can schedule a call, if needed please use the "Contact Us" form from our website to reach us as this then goes to several representatives and our support department in case I am not handling your issues directly. I think we can schedule a call either tomorrow or maybe Thursday/Friday though so help push this Premium Support into our queue quicker.
