    Hi
    We upgraded our site to 6.1.1 and we can no longer login to our site.
    When we register a new user we get this error;

    Error: User Registration is currently unavailable.

    The site sends an email to the user so the registration seems to be working but when that new user tries to login, the login does not work. 

    We can not access our site at all.

    Has anyone encountered this ?

    This Stephen,

    This is not something that I have heard about yet... Can you tell me more specifically if the fields appear properly and its just after clicking register? If you are signed in, can you update users? Also, can you tell me more specifically what errors you see if you go to Admin, Event Viewer?

    Hi Chad

    Yes, all the register fields show correctly and it is after clicking register that this error appears.

    the problem is, no logins work and hence we can not get access to Admin / Event Viewer to see what the problem is. We have no access to the site at all. Is there a way to access the database to view error logs?

    Thanks for your help. We have posted this issue everywhere and no one has responded.

    Hi Stephen - Well, this may or may not actually be related to our modules Dynamic Registration or Dynamic Login... Sometimes after an upgrade its important to try and figure out what the specific issue might be causing the problem and what can help are things related to 1. Did you upgrade or is this a fresh installation? 2. Do new registrations work but existing registrations do not? 3. When you open up the web.config file what is the MachineKey for the pre-upgrade version/files and what is the post-upgrade version/files? This is probably the biggest culprit for problems if you upgraded your site but then event existing users do not work. If existing users do not work then this (from past history) would be related to this machine key.

    So, these items can help... We have many customers using our modules that might assume that the issue is related to our modules but its possible its related to the upgrade process itself and not actually our modules. Either way, we are happy to help so lets just work through some of the questions here!

    Thanks for your email and by no means do I think that this was your module. I am really just looking for help.

    I will look through the machine keys and see if this is causing the problem (as I did upgrade from 6.0.2 to 6.1.1)
