    Any idea why the Facebook login no longer works??  All of my site are affected as well as the DataSprings site.  Has there been a change in the API????

    I'm no longer sure if there is a Facebook problem or a problem with the DL.  Nothing happens when you try to authenticate using Facebook.  Its been like this for the past 24 hours. 

    Again, this isn't limited to my site.  I can't use Facebook authentication on the Datasprings site either.  Anyone from Datasprings know what is going on????

    I am having the same issue on my site, www.parstars.com.

    I see it is also not working on the Data Springs site. However, I can use facebook connect on the CNN site, so it doesn't seem to be a problem on Facebook's end.

    Facebook has this -

    We are deprecating FBJS. On Jan 1, 2012: FBJS will no longer be supported on Platform. June 1, 2012: FBJS apps will no longer work. All FBJS endpoints are removed. If you are building a new app on Facebook.com, please implement your app using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.


    Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it's the closest I see.



    PLEASE, address this ASAP!

    Hi Donald,

    I believe you opened a support ticket but let me also post Chad's response here for others who are experiencing the same issue. Chad has been discovered that FB has made changes that have impacted all implementations including ours. Thanks! -- Candace

    Yes we have recently become aware of this over the last couple of days and we areread watching a fix that we hope to post in the next 1-2 weeks. I do not believe the issue is related to the specific item you listed below as we are already using JavaScript however there is another change just made that affects are implementation code.

    1 to 2 weeks? Seriously?? I could understand if this was a bug of minor significance in one of the Datasprings modules, but this affects all usesr coming to the site using facebook? I have hundreds of users authenticating with the facebook connect with no access. 

    If you're going to sell a module that has the responsibility of handling authentication, then in my opinion you have to be prepared to deal with these issues much more rapidly.

    I apologize for the inconvenience, we are still trying to figure out what code changes were made from Facebook to get a better understanding (trust me, we are being notified by many users and everyone has Facebook working great and now it doesn't...) so today I spent some time researching the actual JavaSCript error that is being thrown and am planning to attempt an alpha/beta of this code over the next day. We have to list any patch as 1-2 weeks to set expectations as this can involve research and this is very new to us as well, but please be patient and we will fix this very soon.

    Ok, I am happy to report that we have found the issue and solved it over the weekend... We are releasing the patch this afternoon or first thing tomorrow morning. I just wrote up a full blog post that also highlights how you can fix this yourself by modifying one of the files within the installation file.

    The Dynamic Login 4.1.20 patch has been posted. Please log into your Snowcovered account and download it from Patches and Hotfixes (OR in MyDownloads, if you have the Collection 5.0 or the User Management Suite 2.0).

    We only update the most current versions of the listings so only User Management Suite 2.0 was updated. The good news is that our Upgrade Policy allows for free upgrades if the purchase was made within 90 days of the new release. Because UMS 2.0 was released on 8/10/2011, you are definitely eligible.
