Problem
1 Completed Events not firing as I would like.
What
I want is a PDF created when I have the PalPalStatus field reading completed
Then a completion email to the sender upon successful payment. What I get is a
PDF and Email created when the form is complete. Presently I have PayPal return
to a separate page upon user selecting cancel within PayPal. And reporting to a
Data Springs Detail View upon success, I will deal with pending later, or if I
get the edit functioning corrected I will edit any PayPal Status other than
completed manually. What I do need is to know what to put in the detail of the
completed event to not create PDF if PayPal Status is empty, which will happen
if user cancels or quits within PayPal. I will use the same setting for my
email completion event. What I want is a PDF created when I have the
PalPalStatus field reading completed Then a completion email to the sender upon
successful payment, rather than only upon submit.
Problem
2 Edit Function within the submitted forms
The problem is when I edit a form,
and submit, it redirects me to pay pal (not good), I can eventually get back to
my edit. Where I can see the form result of my PayPal Status edit. But it does
not refire the PDF or the email event with updated data. As far as I can
notice. Editing generates an additional form entry with the same date stamp as
my edited field in the original entry. While the edit shows in the original
form entry also. I now have two entries. If I try and delete one of the entries
IT DELETES BOTH Entrees. Then I have lost all of the captured data, and have no
record of the form at all. This has caused me several headaches of new members
wanting to know what happened. Eventually they contact me and after an awkward
conversation, I get the address and phone etc., I can make a manual entry.
So what I would like is to edit a field and not be redirected to PayPal
(a time consuming task to return back to the view forms page)Not have edit
generate a new form. Or at least not delete both entries if either one is
deleted. Like to Edit a form and have it refire the completion events again, so
updates can be sent emails with updated PDF info. Additionally I would
like to know if under configuration menu option of PayPal if pay pal sends a
different status, will it fire my completion events again, for instance pending
to complete, or from complete to refunded etc.. I have not checked these boxes
until I check with you on what the result will be upon change of status.
Additional Caveat
Oh on debug It shows a required
field is missing when it is not. it thinks a required field is blank, even
though it is not. because If a required field is missing, it correctly will not
process the form until completed. A thought maybe that if the radio button is
checked as required field AND the two are inline rather than vertical. The
screen form shows two different red asterisks, indicating both need are
required fields to be checked, not possible on a radio button. When I take out
the same line mode, a single asterisk appeared. and debug message
disappears .Maybe something has to be fixed.
