I am using the trial version with DNN 6.1.2 and it's kind of slow and doesn't seem to work correctly. I have deleted and reinstalled the module a number of times. Not sure if I am missing something or if DNN 6 isn't supported. the following are my notes:
--------------------------------------------
Select the basic fields and then click 'Run Wizard'
I have
selected:
-
Username
-
Password
-
Confirm Password
-
Email Address
-
Captcha
Some things don't work out of the box. The following
have validation problems:
- Username
isn't required
- Confirm
Password validation doesn't work
- Email
Address validation isn't working (it will accept a single character as an email address)
- Captcha
isn't required.

Hi deusbelli, Dynamic Registration and DNN has built-in validation for the username and passwords which you should see if you hit the register link. Are you saying you do not see the error message? The Email address and the Captcha's validation have to be set on the field level. Just edit the fields and expand the Advanced Field Options and go down to Field Validation. Thanks! Candace

I think that is what confused me; some fields have validation automatically and others you have to tweak. Also, you have to click "Quick Create Property" to get a field working. Thanks for the help. |

I am having an issue with 6.1.2. I am not able to edit any other module that are on the same page. I cannot even get the manage drop down except on the Registration module |

Hi, We have been getting a few reports of this so we might need some more information. Specifically, what happens if you go into the module configuration area from the control panel and "Disable jQuery" there? Does the module work properly then? We have been getting several reports of this so whenever we figure out what is going on we should be able to let everyone know. Thanks, Chad

When J-Qurey is disabled, the issue seems to be resolved. I can now use all "Manage" buttons. I can successfully edit text html modules and get use the "Manage" button menu on the Registration module.
On another note, I installed the module on a clean site that I use to test html code and the same issue occurred. It seems to be a compatibility issue with 6.1.2.

I am having a similar problem... here are the details: DNN - 6.1.2 Dynamic Registration - 4.10.70
1) I login as host, create a new page, and add the Dynamic Registration module. 2) The new page, by default, has a text/HTML module on it, above the Registration module. 3) On that page, neither of the “manage” buttons will work (on hover they remain opaque and no action occurs) although those buttons for all other modules on my site do work. Also, the ribbon bar disappears (leaving only the text for its menus...). If I navigate to another page, the ribbon bar returns to normal. 4) When I switch instead to the icon bar, things change. Now the mange button for the HTML module on that page works opens, but the import and export content functions do not work. 5) The manage button for the Registration module does not work at all. 6) If I delete the HTML module, the manage button for the Registration module now opens… except, once again, the import and export content options and the setting option do not work. This, of course, does not allow me to follow instructions found on your website to import a template as an example for my work. When I go to the control panel and disable jQuery, the the import and export content options and the setting option do work. If I re-add another module to the same page, the manage buttons for both modules work as they should... AND if I switch back to the ribbon bar, normal behavior is restored. So, disabling jQuery seems to do the trick... It should be noted, however, that I also have the Dynamic Forms module (4.0.12) installed and none of this is a problem there... everything seems to work fine, without the need to disable jQuery... Hope this information can assist you in resolving the issue. Patrick |

Hi Patrick - Yes we have already updated Dynamic Forms with the latest patch however for Dynamic Registration, since the 4.2 release is right around the corner (we are even running the beta now on Data Springs) this option was not disabled until this next release. Thanks, Chad

Thanks Chad... I look forward to the new release of Dynamic Registration, and will carry on with the "fix" until then. What other notable features might we expect to see?

Hi PAtrick - There is not direct patch that we will be releasing as the 4.2 release is right around the corner and will provide the support for 6.1.x without needing to use this work around. For now the only way around this issue is to either utilize the work around mentioned or... You should be able to go into the /desktopmodules/dynamic registration/js file and delete or edit the file jquery.min.js and save it as an empty text file. Basically this stops (for all module instances) the problem with bringing in an older jQuery file which causes conflicts with the jQuery file/version that DNN is bringing in. Thanks, Chad
