The website and the video promo indicates that [CreatedbyUserID], [LastModifiedUserID], [CreatedOnDate], and [LastModifiedDate] can be used in the User Directory templates. However, none of these show up in the list of availabel ID's. If I simply insert them they do not return any values.
Any ideas?

Hi Jim, Well these tokens were added at a later date I believe... They should be there though, can you let me know what version it shows you are running on under Host, Extensions? Thanks, Chad

Hi Jim - Basically what we found out was that this feature was added but then in-between releases the setting/query that was using this column was somehow missed for the next version Whoops So, I just checked the upcoming release on training.betasprings.com (many new features!) and this column/field was still missing. So before the full release we plan to make sure its added in, we are hoping that this will happen next week since the release is supposed to go out next Friday. Thanks! -Chad |

Chad:
Are we sure this feature is included in the 4.1 release? I just installed it and included [lastmodifiedondate] in the User's profile and it does not return a value.
Thanks,
Jim |

Hi Jim - Yes, this column should be there. I just verified that this was there on our test installation that was a fresh install. What about [createdondate]? Did you also kick off the user data feed after you install the module? Does this token show up blank or does it show up as a [token]? There was one bug with the module version that we are working on a patch for but I believe its unrelated. If you run into problems with the DataGrid option you need to run this query under host/SQL: if exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'{databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}DataSprings_DynamicUserDirectory_UpdateViewColumn]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsProcedure') = 1) drop procedure {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}DataSprings_DynamicUserDirectory_UpdateViewColumn] GO CREATE PROCEDURE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}DataSprings_DynamicUserDirectory_UpdateViewColumn] @ModuleID int, @ColumnName nvarchar (200), @AllowsExports int, @SortOrder int, @DisplayInGrid int AS UPDATE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}DataSprings_DynamicUserDirectory_Columns] SET AllowsExports = @AllowsExports, SortOrder = @SortOrder, DisplayInGrid = @DisplayInGrid Where ModuleID = @ModuleID and ColumnName = @ColumnName GO Thanks, Chad

Chad: Some information that may help: 1. This is not a fresh install. I simply loaded over the top of an existing DUD extension and did not reinstall the module on my page. I will tell you that the new Google map features show up in my existing module under the "Directory Template" option suggesting that the upgrade may have been applied to my pre-installed module. I have not done a fresh install to see if it works then. 2. I did run the Data Feed and also cleared the cache and the feature is still not operating. 3. All of the tokens are visible on the left side of the page as options [createdbyuserid], [createdondate], [lastmodifiedbyuserid], and [lastmodifiedondate]. I selected "Generate Default Template" and these tokens then show up in the box. However, when I exit and view, I see only the [token]. 4. I have not mapped these fields to any of my profile properties in DNN. In fact, as I look at my profile properties I don't even find these DNN core fields. Do I have to do that? Thanks for your help, Jim

Hi Jim - No, you should not have these as profile properties... These are actually columns within the table that are selected within the query. I guess I am more puzzled that they are appearing in the list of available tokens but then not in the actual template once you save the token. I just verified that the data is coming in on my test installation so I might end up needing you to open a support ticket and providing us with temporary edit/host rights. Thanks, -Chad

Chad: I did a fresh install of the DUD module on a separate test page and these tokens worked fine. I will delete my existing module and reinstall it fresh and I suspect things will function properly. If not, I will drop you another note. Thanks for looking into this for me. Jim |

Chad: I think I found the glitch. If I use these tokens in the Item List Template, then these tokens return the correct value. However, if I put them in the User Detail Template, they do not. Are you getting the same result? I have copied/pasted the entries from one window to the next so I am sure I am not typing them differently (at least I think so). Thanks for the help. Jim |

Hi Jim - You are right... Since these are not profile fields we are currently only making them part of the list template. You brought up a very good point though, we need to get this added to the detail template as well for future releases. I am adding this into our bug tracking system. Thanks, Chad

Chad: A final thought as long as we are thinking of things to possibly add to the next release. In those tokens, I am really only interested in displaying the date and not the time. I don't think there is an option to eliminate the time portion of the token. Thanks, again. Jim |
