AutoLoginLink Fails - Bad URL

    I am using the DynamicRegistration 4.10.43 component on DNN 06.01.02 (98) to send a verification email using the keyword AutoApproveWLoginLink. The email is successfully sent, however, the main embedded link does not work.
         

    The generated link includes /Portals/0 which does not work on the server. The server returns with the message “Server Error in '/' Application . The resource cannot be found

     Here is the link generated https://www.gtx.com/Portals/0/Default.aspx?TabID=65&APWL=True&CONF=%c3%94%c3%8b%c3%99%c2%b4%c2%b0%c3%84%c3%85%c3%86&Verified=900fec09-c5b8-4f70-901d-54e7b03fc0c9

    The following link works perfectly
     https://www.gtx.com/Default.aspx?TabID=65&APWL=True&CONF=%c3%94%c3%8b%c3%99%c2%b4%c2%b0%c3%84%c3%85%c3%86&Verified=900fec09-c5b8-4f70-901d-54e7b03fc0c9
     
     I believe this is the same as unresolved issue http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modules/dynamic-registration/the-resource-cannot-be-found/#25330 

    I have confirmed that the /Portals/0 portion of the generated URL should not be there in this forum http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Forums/forumid/108/threadid/444594/scope/posts.aspx 





    Is this a bug or something I have configured wrong?

    Thanks for responding with the information. I followed the link that you attached and was excited that the problem was resolved, until I read;

    Resolved: I contacted support, and they suggested I use the patch to upgrade from 4.10.13 to 4.10.43
    ----

    My version is already at 4.10.43 and I still have the problem.  Is there a separate patch that is needed besides the 4.10.43 version?

    Well actually I believe that this only created a work around to use that new token... Did you read the details about the new token we created for sites having this problem?

    Do you mean the $(VerificationCode) token. Yes I was already using that option as a fall back.

    I would prefer using one of these;
    $(AutoApproveLink)
    $(AutoApproveLink)
    $(AutoApprove)
    $(AutoApproveWLogin)
    $(AutoApproveWLoginLink)
    as I believe they offer a better experience for the new user. This must be a hard problem to fix as it has been reported for a lengthly time.

    I have updated my site and removed the AutoApprove* link and am now just using the VerfifcationCode.

    Hi Wayne,

    No I was referring to the new token we added for the .43 patch which is the token " $(AutoApproveCode)". Basically the work around is that you still have to create the URL there and use that new token we created.

    Thanks for pointing that out Chad. I missed that option, just thought it was one of the existing codes. I will give it a try next week
