Hi,   I'am having trouble with the upload fields, the generated filepath in the mail are absolutely correct. I have uploaded some files in there with the fil explorer and these files download just fine. The problem is that none of the files are uploaded. Which is exactly what the debug information below tells me .

    "
Error Uploading the Document via DNN Common Utilities (update or add):  startIndex cannot be larger than length of string. Parameter name: startIndex
Error Updating FileID / Folder:  Object reference not set to an instance of an object. "

I hope someone could tell me whether this is a module issue or a DNN 6.1 issue? Or should we upgrade to DynamicForms 4 to solve this problem?

    HI Jeroen,

My first suggestion is to upgrade to the latest version to make sure you have all the enhancements and fixes, especially that you are using DNN 6.1.2. From v3.4, you should see an automatic 70% upgrade discount when you order Dynamic Forms 4.0. If you got the module as part of a package, please use the Contact Form and give us your invoice ID so we can check for applicable discounts. Thanks!

Yes - One other suggestion (especially if you are going to use 3.4) is to use the "HTML File Input". It was actually an accident that the DotNetNuke File upload field type is present in that version because it works differently (and you probably don't it to work the way it does). It stores the data as a "FileID" within DotNetNuke which can be useful and is how DotNetNuke stores files but usually not what most clients want when it comes to the filename. This ends up being used within DotNEtNuke by calling the LinkClick.aspx page and passing in the FileID # instead of a directly hyperlink for the filename. So I would use the HTML Input option within that dropdownlist.

    Thanks,

    Chad

Hi Candace and Chad, Thanks for your quick response. I think we will go for the upgrade path, we will be needing multi panel forms without postbacks anyway. And to answer Chad I did test with all the upload options html, telerik and dnn. DynamicForms creates the download link perfectly fine.
But I think that DNN and the DynamicForms module have some upload mismatch somewhere in the code.
Next week we wil be upgrading and I hope this issue will be solved with the upgrade. Both of you thanks for your suggestions.
