Time Zone incorrectly set

    When I use DR to create new users, I assumed they would get their core DNN field for time zone set to whatever I've set as the default for my portal (in my case, GMT+5), however, when I inspect the new users' time zones, they are set to GMT+0.

    I do not have a DR question set up to enter the Time Zone, and was assuming that the core DNN Time Zone field would be set based on the default, but it is not.

    DR 4.1.43.27717

    DNN 6.1.4

    Hello Bob,
    I was unable to replicate this issue on our betasprings site so I would like to get a little more information from you. Please let me know the setting selections you have made under the module control panel for advanced core integration/time zone integration. Thanks!

    Thanks for your help. My settings are:

    Enable Time Zone Field: Unchecked
    Dynamic Time Zone Field: Not set
    Default Time Zone: GMT-5

    (My assumption is that because I don't want my users to see any time zone choices during registration, I should leave these settings alone, not map a DR field, and that their core profile property would default to that which is set to the portal). If you'd like admin access to my development site that exhibits this problem let me know and I'll provide you with login credentials.

    Your assumptions are correct. If left alone the settings from the core profile should take precedence. Thank you for letting me know the values. I wanted to be sure that you didn't have this setting enabled

    Let me see if I can alter a couple things in our test environment to get the result you are getting. I know Chad was also looking in the source to see if we need to do anything differently for this next release.
