I am using Dynamic Forms 3.40.50 with DNN 5.6.2
I put 2 fields on a new page.
field #1 - text box , with a default value that was sql driven,
and this filled in just fine with a value of 'to'
the sql was :
select spec as DefaultValue
from dbo.testspecs where specno=2
field #2 - was a hidden field, question type of hidden field to be specific, and for default - I enter the same exact sql statement as before,
except the where clause is where specno=1
Then i run the page in edit mode,
and the default value for the text box fills in,
so far so good.
But the hidden field, which i named hspecs,
has nothing showing for its value.
So I click the submit button,
and then after what looks like a postback or page refresh or something, then all of a sudden the hidden value shows up to the right of the field name in an area called 'Hidden Fields Control Panel'
So, 2 fields, both with a default value,
the default value for the first one shows up on page load,
and the default value for the second field
does not show up on page load at all,
but does show up with a page re-load.
Perhaps I am missing a simple setting or something.
I read the entire manual for Dynamic Forms,
and was looking for information regarding hidden fields,etc,
but i might have missed...and so I searched forums,
and now I am posting.
Thanks in advance for any hints, pointers, suggestions, or explanations.
