Module getting stuck on 'processing...' screen

    Dyn Login 4.1 ~ DNN 5.6.4

    Hi there!  I'm logged in as Admin, and I'm trying to add a Security Role Rule.  Under URL I click Page and the popup 'Processing...' takes the focus of the page - and won't go away.   In the background, the list of pages does finally appear in the dropdown box - but the 'Processing...' popup won't allow me to work on the darkened page behind it.   To get out of it, I hit F5, which gets me back to square 1 - but doesn't allow me to complete the desired configuration.

    This is occurring any time the 'Processing' popup appears.  Can someone offer some advice?  I just upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 hoping this would resolve it...  no luck!  Thanks for your help!

    Hi Mark - More than likely this is a jQuery / JavaScript conflict between our module and your skin/container or DNN site. I am not directly sure, its possible that maybe our module is rendering a jQuery / JavaScript file that DNN is already rendering? You have a few options here...

    1. You might want to click View Source and do a search for jQuery.Min.JS and tell me how many times you see this.

    2. You might want to load up FireBug in FireFox and the "Console" option there. From here you can see any specific JavaScript errors that are occurring on the page.

    The final solution here would be to modify one of the ASCX controls which ends up showing the message/ending the pop up message and you could remove some lines of code in that file which would stop this processing message from ever appearing to begin with.

    I'm having the same problem. I upgraded today to Dynamic Login 4.10.30. I can't update the Login Module or the forms module on the website. I am running DNN 5.6.7. I checked #1 and it is in the header and on line 56. Suggestions? Thanks!

    Hi - Please open a support ticket at http://support.datasprings.com and once we can replicate/duplicate it on your website we will post an update on this forum thread to help others. If both of you are having the problem I am sure we can replicate and fix the issue pretty quickly.

    Just submitted a ticket as requested, Chad - thanks.  I did a search for 'jQuery.Min.JS'  in the source code; it's occurring twice: once for DynLogin and once in support of portal.css.  Thanks for your help in resolving this!

    Thanks, Chad for the response. Our site is fixed as we decided to upgrade to the latest version of DNN. In doing some online research, I'm fairly certain that you were correct about the JQuery/JS conflict. When I upgraded to the latest versions of Dynamic Registration/Forms and Login I also added the html editor CKEditor at the same time. This is when we started having problems.Problem was solved with the DNN upgrade!
