    Hello,

    I'm trying to connect to an extern db (Mysql), to send the link of an pdf file that i just created with another completion event (i'm using here sql editor), I'm using as external DB connection this: SERVER = 127.0.0.1;Port=3306;DATABASE = dnnTest;UID=root;PASSWORD=xxxxx
    I have tested the same for external MSSQL db and that works but i get no real data only $(PDFLink:CreatePdf), how to get the correct link as parameter for sql statement?

    Or how to retrieve the guid of de pdf file EventName_xxxxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx ? can i find this guid somewhere in the database? I want to insert the link of the pdf file in an table outside Dnn db.

    Please use $(UniqueCompletionID) as the GUID.

    Hi Camdace,

    I use the $(UniqueCompletionID) but this is not the same guid of the pdf file.
    My sql query like:
    INSERT OPENQUERY (MYSQL, 'select link from dnntest.link') values ('http://' + '$(PortalAlias)' + '/Portals/' + '$(PortalID)' + '/Dynamic_Forms/CreatePdf_' + '$(UniqueCompletionID)' + '.pdf' );


    I want to get the correct guid of de pdf file, i have made an email event just for the test, and i see that the guid of de pdf is not the same as The UniqueCompletionID.
