    Hello,

In our company we create/change exsisting surveys (in dynamic forms) in our sandbox. When we want to put the survey online on the site, we use page import/export (including content). But when we do that the form results get lost (are they still in the database?).

What is a better way for creating or editing surveys without losing results? Maybe copy a survey from our site to a invisible area?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello NVK,

You can use the method described in this blog post:
    http://www.datasprings.com/news/blo...om-results

I use this all the time to gather form results from a Dynamic Form to place into a new flat table.

You might as well use a SQL Flat table over the default Dynamic Forms storage method.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hello again,

    Thanks for the answer.
I couple of months ago I overwrote a Dynamic Form by a new version. Now i can't acces the old results anymore. Are the old results still in the database? If yes, how can I retrieve them?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello NVK,

I don't really understand what you mean when you say that you overwrote the page with the Dynamic Forms on it.

If you somehow lost this page(in losing Dynamic Forms) as well you may have to say good bye to the old results.

Performing an upgrade with Dynamic Forms shouldn't cause you to lose any of your information.

Can you please let me know which version of Dynamic Forms you upgraded from and to??

One thing you may want to do to try and restore is by going to Admin -> Recycle Bin and try to find the Dynamic Form module or the Page that was overwritten.

If you can't find it in this location then I would recommend trying to go to Host -> SQL and execute the following query:

SELECT Question, ModuleID FROM DynamicForms_Question ORDER BY ModuleID ASC, Question ASC

If you have several Dynamic Forms on your site and fields, then please be prepared to sift through many records. The entire point to this is to find the ModuleID for the Dynamic Form that you lost. If you find Question names that look familiar than chances are is that the Dynamic Form data is still intact. If you don't find your form questions by using this query, then chances are that your data was lost.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
