I have a complicated form that was built in DF 3.4.5. It worked fine until I moved the site to DF 4.1. Then the functionality of the form was broken.

Specifically, I was assembling a stored procedure call on the form in a text box using javascript, hidden by CSS, but not a hidden field. A question event later uses the stored procedure call to set the default value on a text box. The SP call looks something like this:  EXEC SP_CalculateMyData 34,55,0,0,0,7,66,5 and the numbers were dependent on the choices the user made earlier on the form so my form has to assemble the stored procedure call. The javascript I use to assemble the call is working well. The problem is the question event is supposed to use the SQL that was assembled to assign a default value to a text box. It no longer enters the result of the stored procedure into the target textbox. I have read that security is tighter on DF 4.1 than it was in 4.3 or so. And that DF will no longer run a SQL script that has come from another field by means of a question event. IS That True?

Is there any way to assemble a stored procedure call that will be used on the same form later by using DF 4.1?

    Thanks for your help

Hi Mark - I know that we have shared a few other emails related to this as well this morning and there are a few more details (moved server, moved back to previous version of Dynamic Forms, etc...). Why don't wait to find out what the resolution from all of the details within our emails and come back to this thread once we find the resolution? At this point in time it appears to be a JavaScript error or warning with the version of DotNetNuke and the version of Dynamic Forms you are running on right?

    Thanks,

    Chad

Chad was right, there were a lot of details surrounding this case and there were dead ends while looking for the cause. It turns out that there were two things wrong. 1. the stored procedure had some bad script in it and 2. the permissions on the textbox that held the stored procedure call were not letting the logged-in user I was testing with access that textbox. I have no doubt that I caused both of those errors in all of my edits and changes. Thank you for your help Chad.
