    When the user submits the form, we need to be able display two different messages based on the users response to one of the questions (mailing list opt-in/out). Currently, we're using two different redirects to internal pages  but that is far from ideal as we have 3 different forms with the opt-in/out option and 8 different sites on which the 3 different forms appear (so we'd have to create 24 extra pages to do it that way).

    I think I found what I need. There's an option for each question to include the answer in the querystring (or session or cookie). So I wrote a custom module that can vary the Text displayed according to the querystring. Now I can just have one Thank You page per site instead of 6.

    But, it would be a LOT easier if you could just have messages be dependent on a question response.

    Hi David - Thanks for your feedback. Just to add a few follow up notes here.

    1. Yes, you can redirect to different pages based on the response to the field

    2. You could probably use our module called Tailored Text/HTML and it would probably be much easier to implement this then building out any custom module. This module allows for querystring, cookie, and session variables to be implemented but can also pull information in from the database etc...

    3. I think that although it would be easier if the display after message could be conditional based on the users response... I would have to review if this is a request that comes up very often. I say this because very often you could already redirect to different pages based on different responses and fire off different emails based on different responses, so I am not really sure it has come up very often to display different messages to the user based on their response where there would be that many responses to warrant the enhancement. If we get enough users who would like this though I am sure we will consider this for future updates.

    Hello Chad- I think it is a great idea to update Tailored Text/HTML module. It enhances features with DF/DR. It makes the application much ease. Datasprings have most the modules to develop for your own application. Datasprings have been very supportive.
