    Hi All, I am using 'File Attachment/Upload' Question Type of Dynamic Form (V2.3).

    When I upload any file (e.g. test.docx) while filling up form and click on submit button, I get an email with all fields except file attachment.

    I tried with several approaches. However could not get file (as an attachment or link) in the email.

    Does anyone know - how can I get the attachment (attachment link will also do) in email ?

    Thanks in Advance !!

    - Ratnadeep

    Hello Ratnadeep,

    Can you please let me know the version of DNN that you're running on?

    In the newer Dynamic Forms versions I know that there's an AttachFiles command that you can use. This enables any files uploaded from the form to be attached to your email event.

    However this DF 2.3 is really outdated and I can't confirm if this functionality even existed at that time.

    My best suggestion/recommendation is to Upgrade your DNN Version to 6.1.5 or 6.2 + and to upgrade Dynamic Forms to our most recent version DF 4.1.

    It's best to stay on the most recent upgrade paths and DNN versions to ensure you don't get left behind. Unfortunately Data Springs can't provide support for a version of Dynamic Forms that's several years old. By upgrading both your DNN and DF versions you'll be able to take advantage of our outstanding support.

    Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for your response.

    This issue is not resolved yet. And for me, it is not possible to upgrade DNN version.

    Currently I am using -
    Dynamic Forms 3.40.50
    and DNN version 5.1.4

    I was going through one link (replied by you only) - "http://www.datasprings.com/dnn-modu...ic-forms--"
    And in that I got something like-

    href="www.yourSite.com/portals/0/Dynamic-Forms_Uploads/$(FileAtt)"

    Will it work in this case also? And also I am curious "FileAtt" is referred to what ?

    Looking forward for your reply,

    Thanks,
    Ratnadeep

    Hello Ratnadeep,

    $(FileAtt) would be the token for a File Upload control on your Dynamic Form that has a Shortfield name of "FileAtt". All Question Shortfield name's on a form create a jQuery token "$(Token)". The tokens can be accessed by using the name of the token.

    $(FileAtt) would have returned the name of the file that was uploaded. Thus the link that I provided was a demonstration on how you can use a Dynamic URL to reference a specific file that was uploaded by a User.

    So by runtime:
    href="www.yourSite.com/portals/0/Dynamic-Forms_Uploads/$(FileAtt)"

    The URL would have became(for example):
    href="www.yourSite.com/portals/0/Dynamic-Forms_Uploads/nameofthefile.docx"

    Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan
