    I have applied a css changing the style of the form fields to each field that needed it. It works fine and changes the style fine but when I add a watermark in those field rather then have a label it changes the style back. Is there something that I need to change for this not to happen?

    In the Dynamic Form Style Sheet under Module Configuration, be sure to look at the .DynamicFOrms_Watermark CSS class.

    You may want to incorporate !important after all CSS attributes to ensure that your styles are not overwritten.

    For instance:

    .DynamicForms_Watermark
    {
    color: gray !important;
    font-size: 12pt !important;
    }

    Also please note that anytime you update the Stylesheet, to completely refresh the page by using CTRL + F5 to make certain that the latest version of the CSS stylesheet is being used. Cache can sometimes refer to an older version of the stylesheet giving the appearance that your changes didn't take effect.

    Please let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    I did all of that. nothing seems to be working. Look at the bottom of this site.

    http://io.mojomonster.com

    The first field I selected the watermark and it is overriding my styles. I even tried applying Dynamicforms_Watermark to each field to ensure it uses that when watermark is selected but it's not working.

    Hello,

    I reviewed the Watermark on the page you provided.

    It seems that this is the assigned class:

    dynamicforms_textbox dynamicforms_watermark

    This means that your inheriting styles form the DynamicForms_Textbox CSS class as well as the DynamicForms_Watermark CSS class.

    I would recommend going into the First Name field and go under Question Look & Feel and assign a new Class name for the Question. You'll see that you have the ability to use a Custom CSS Class for the LAbel and Field.

    For the moment, override the existing class "DynamicForms_Watermark" by providing a name in the "Custom CSS Class for the Field".

    Let's name the class "Alternate_Watermark"

    Go to the Stylesheet and add this new class:

    .Alternate_Watermark
    {
    //provide your styles here
    }

    Save the stylesheet and completely refresh the page with a CTRL + F5.

    Please let me know if this helps.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    I have another site I need to do this for and it's not working on that site either. If i have to I can just leave the default value as is but I would rather it be a watermark cause it looks more professional. Thanks for you help I appreciate it.

    Thank you for your help! It's fixed and working great. The solution was as follows:

    I have implemented an alternate solution by utilizing JavaScript.

    Please refer to the “Your First Name” field.

    I have appended “onfocus” to the short field name of this field. By doing so, this tells Dynamic Forms to fire any JavaScript in the Client Side section under Advanced Field Options segment for this Dynamic Question.

    This gives it the same behavior as a watermark.
