One usability issue for me with the Dynamic Forms 4.1 is with the "View Form Results" display. There's no easy way to scan the grid to look for particular content (e.g. spam entries). All you get is the Results Date / Time and the four command links (including "View Results" and "Delete").
So to browse through the records, you have click "View Results" for each individual record. But when you're looking at the results (and perhaps have decided to delete it), there's no Delete button. And there's no "Results Date / Time" field in the default "View Results" display. So you have to go back and then hope you remember the correct date and time for the record you just viewed and then delete it.
I would like the ability to have one or more key form fields displayed in the initial grid to make it easier to scan the results (and to delete the item directly). And the command buttons could appear (or be offered in the template tokens) for the "View Results" template.
I assume Dynamic Views could display the grid the way I want, but it wouldn't offer the direct delete capability. Or would it?

Hello Larry,
If you need more flexibility with a data source result set, you should consider using Dynamic Views.
I would recommend that you no longer use the Dynamic Form default storage method and move towards storing the Form Information into a Custom SQL Table. Simply create a SQL table that will accommodate all field values on your Dynamic Form, as well as some additional fields:
* RecordID(PrimaryKey)
* DateSubmitted
* UserID
* UniqueCompletionID
* Maybe even "IsDeleted"
By storing the values in a table like this, it offers you full flexibility to how to pull and push information from this table. Dynamic Forms has SQL Form Completion Events, this will enable you to execute an INSERT SQL statement. This is how you can insert a record from the form's inputted information into your newly created Custom SQL Table.
You can then use a Dynamic View with a Custom SQL data source, which pulls from this table you created. You can also add a where clause:
WHERE IsDeleted <> 1
Dynamic Views has a feature called "Action" that will allow you to embed a SQL Event into a link or image button. You can provide a SQL Query to Update the IsDeleted Column to a value of 1 so that it appears to be deleted. In actuality it wouldn't be deleted, just wouldn't be pulled into this Dynamic View because of the WHERE clause above. This idea know as a "Soft Delete".
