I don't know how the rest of you feel about this, but I would really like to see a better Data Grid tool in Dynamic Forms. I do a lot of forms that work as reporting tools and a simple data grid (like a Reports module) would be a very useful tool. For this function, I have been forced to use H2O forms which are rather a chore to setup, but the data grid is fantastic. I can have multiple data grids on the page to display records, do calculations, or breakdowns. I can use the session or querystring variables in the data grid queries and display any data I need. Maybe Chad would be kind enough to add this to the next version (hint hint).

    Hello MP,

At the moment, the view form results section built into Dynamic Forms is rudimentary and very difficult to fully customize.

One of the key purposes for creating Dynamic Views, was to allow full customization and flexibility with Dynamic Form Results. Dynamic Views has now grown into a more versatile project that accepts several data source types.

    Dynamic View trial:

One of the layout options is a simple data grid within Dynamic Views.

I would recommend trialing Dynamic Views and let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Ryan,
Thanks for replying. I have Dynamic Views, but I have not figured out how to  have multiple data grids on one page using different queries. For instance, I want a report to show entries from a product sales table. I have a report selection page where the user selects a start and end date and a salesperson, then clicks to view the report (sends the session variables to report page). On the report page, there is a data grid that shows all that salespersons entries for the reporting period. Below that, another data grid that does the totals. And below that is a grid that does a breakdown showing how many of each product sold etc. Each data grid uses a different query to get it's results, but they all use the session variables from the selection page.
I use an H2O form with multpile data grids to achieve this now, but would rather work only with DF if possible.
Maybe this can be done with Dynamic Views, but I can't see how. Maybe I am missing something.
