    We had an issue with Dynamic User Directory.

    The module suddenly stopped working. We tried on different browsers and it was still the same.

    Looking at the Events Viewer we are getting this error.

    Message: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Conversion from string "Default.aspx" to type 'Integer' is not valid. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Conversion from string "Default.aspx" to type 'Integer' is not valid. ---> System.FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format. at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ParseDouble(String Value, NumberFormatInfo NumberFormat) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToInteger(String Value) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToInteger(String Value) at DataSprings.DNN.Modules.DynamicUserDirectory.DynamicUserDirectory.ProcessDetailViewCount() --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

    We restarted DNN and it fixed it self. Any idea what could have caused the module to stop working?

    Hello Marc,

    Do you happen to have a Profile Property that you store Page information into? Like a page name?

    Interesting that it says "default.aspx" conversion error to INT. The only thing that comes to mind is if you're using a Profile Property that accepts integers only, but the value contained in the Profile Property is a String.

    Let me know if this is a possibility.

    Hi Ryan,

    By profile property do you mean like a global field? if so then yes. we use that global field to store different data the is submitted using the dynamic user registration module and use that global field to do filtering on the user directory.

    Hello Marc,

    By Profile Property I mean as in apart of the User's Account.

    Depending on what DNN version you're operating, if on DNN 6+ go to Admin -> Site Settings -> User Account Settings and you'll see a section labeled "Profile Settings".

    Is there a field in this list that represents the "global field" that you mentioned? If so, please EDIT this Profile Property and take a look at the data type of this Profile Property. This field should probably be of type "Text".

    Hi Ryan,

    The site is still using DNN5 and the "Global field" which is named global is set to "Text".

    The profile details are all linked to the user profile.

    Hello Marc,

    If you go to Host -> SQL and execute this query:

    Select top 50 * from TempDUDPivot

    Do you receive an error? Or are results returned?

    If you receive an error, can you please try executing this query:

    Select top 50 UserID from TempDUDPivot

    Do you receive results?

    Please let me know. Dynamic User Directory is a great product, but sometimes takes some TLC to get up and operational.

    Hi Marc,

    Can you check under host, schedule and see if you see any errors under the "Logs" or "View History" logs for the Dynamic User Directory scheduled task? Can you also let us know more details on where you are hosting at and if you are using shared or dedicated hosting?
