I'm using Dynamic Forms 4.10 on DNN 6.2.5. I'm creating a French form. Based on the field names, when I create an email completion event, I get a "Full Results Template" that looks like this:

    $(Objet_FullResults)
    $(Civilité_FullResults)
    $(Nom _FullResults)
    $(Prénom_FullResults)
    $(Rue, nº_FullResults)
    $(Code postal_FullResults)
    $(Ville _FullResults)
    $(Pays_FullResults)
    $(Téléphone_FullResults)
    $(Fax_FullResults)
    $(Adresse électronique _FullResults)
    $(Homepage_FullResults)
    $(Commentaires_FullResults)

However, when I get the resulting email, it looks like this:

Veuillez choisir un objet * client
    $(Civilité_FullResults)

    Nom * Daniele
    $(Prénom_FullResults)
    $(Rue, nº_FullResults)

    Code postal 01060

    Ville Northampton

    Pays MA
    $(Téléphone_FullResults)

    Fax 413-555-1212
    $(Adresse électronique _FullResults)

Commentaires * This is a test. This is only a test.

It appears that any field name that contains an accented character is not expanded properly.

I'm pretty sure the work-around will be to change the internal field names to not use accented characters. But I would expect this kind of thing to "just work".

    Hello Larry,

I'm not entirely sure where these characters fall within ASCII, but I would definitely recommend removing the accented characters to see if this makes a difference when rendering the token.

I don't have the explanation why these characters wouldn't be accepted inside of Question and Shortfieldnames. The only idea is that Dynamic Forms isn't recognizing these characters and therefore is not rendering the token and is reading your token as plain text.

I'll make an entry into our bug tracking software and we'll see if we can focus on this issue for the next patches of Dynamic Forms.

I see that you have Dynamic Forms 4.10, can you please go and download Dynamic Forms 4.1.4 from the Store.Dotnetnuke.com? Log into the same account your used to purchase Dynamic Forms 4.1.0 and go to your downloads. Dynamic Forms 4.1.4 should be available to you. I would recommend operating the latest version of Dynamic Forms. This could be a compatibility issue between DNN 6.2.5 and Dynamic Forms 4.1.0.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Ryan
