I have a related issue.
I am attempting to direct a user to a page on my DNN site from elsewhere on the web using variables contained in a querystring. I am using friendly URLs and when looking at the source of the page I see my variable values within the HTML.
I would expect the contents of these hidden fields to get stored in the database when the form is saved, but alas, it doesn't happen. I tried using both hidden fields and a text field set to hide for anonymous users and set to hide until an event display it. None of these approaches works.
The other weird thing is that the data value that IS stored in the database is the same value of the previous field (based on the sort order). If the hidden field is first on the form it is empty.
I also tried using a visible text field which DOES display the variable's value from the querystring, but as soon as I make it hidden, it doesn't save the value.
To me, this sounds like a genuine bug in dynamic forms because of the way the value is captured from the previous fields. This bit of functionality is very important to me because I am using it to track prospects from google adwords. I want to save the keywords that the user used with the rest of their form information.
Thanks,
David
