I am baffled: I've created a form which won't submit unless I'm logged in.

The form works fine as long as I'm logged in, no matter under what role. But if I submit it as an unauthenticated user, nothing happens, except for a flickering of the screen... I have Dynamic Forms version 2.3.7 and I work on a 4.5.3 dotnetnuke installation.

    What am I missing?

    Any insight would be appreciated.

Does this happen with any form or when you have certain fields on there? Hmmm.... Any completion events/question events for the form or special features you have enabled which might make a difference?

The problem seems to be my completion event: I had an email sent to the admin email... When I deleted the event, the form submitted as expected.

However, when I added a new event (under a new name, with the same goal of sending an email to the admin address), my form stopped submitting again.

I do need the admin person to be notified when someone fills a form. Any idea how I can reinsert the event and make it work?

    Looking forward to your insight.

What are the email properties, specifically the email from and email to? Also if you go to Host, Module Definitions what specific version are you running on (latest is 2.3.7) and there were some minor email function changes for these events I think.

The email properties were the same than all my other forms on the site.

My troubles started when I created a new page and copied a dynamic form module: As a result, the form I copied from stopped functioning properly. I deleted the form and installed a new dynamic form module on the same page: Same trouble.

Today, however, I tried again with a new form on a new page and everything is fine. The moral of the story: Do not copy modules!

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.

Hmmm.. Interesting, we have been testing this week with the 2.5 beta and have not been running into this with a copied form but if you continue to get this now or in the future let me know, copying forms is critical so I am wondering if possibly the redirection link wasn't set correctly on import.

Upon further testing, I figured out what was wrong with my form: After submission, I had set an email to the admin person as a completion event: In the From field, I had use the datasprings token $(email). But the email field was not required: That's why the form would not submit from an unauthenticated user. (the email was filling up automatically when the user was logged in, since it's a required field for registration.)

When the unauthenticated user did not provide an email, the form could not submit as it was missing data to fulfil the completion event... Makes perfect sense. (Although it took me a while to figure this out!) So I have two choices: Use a different email for the from field, such as webmaster@ or make the email a required field.

After this discovery I exported and imported my form and copied it as well and it worked perfectly well. Thanks for the follow-up.
