I have my portal set up so that a non-admin role can send out newsletters. However, can a non-admin have access to the other module that manages categories, lists/users, extended fields, import, etc?

Hi. As long as you give that user 'Edit' rights within the module you should be able to do that. Since some of those areas are not really category specific (such as settings) you should be ok with that. That being said, I think there are two areas you cannot yet do this.

    1. Under select categories within the main module to determine which categories go on the page
    2. Under Manage list/Users specific to only manage based on categories they have access to.

We will look too add both of these as enhancements within future releases, I think they would be needed for situations such as the one you mentioned.

I haven't yet set up the opt-in module yet, but full operability by non-admins is a prime requirement for all modules. I've mentioned elsewhere that I already have 2 or 3 Datasprings modules that fail in this regard, so I'm really hoping the Newsletter Manager works out ok.

    Robax,

Hi. Yes in V2.6 you can specify roles for Opt In Email Categories. Only users with those specific roles can distribute newsletters.
