Hi, I just bought the dynamic forms module.  I'm trying to get an email form to work with an attachment.  The form works if I get rid of the file attachment dynamic field.  The minute I add the "file attachment" field to the form it bombs -- it does send an email -- but there is nothing in it.  Not even the fields that were working previously.  In the DNN event log I am seeing the following:

    AssemblyVersion: 04.08.00

NOTE:  The path is correct and there is indeed a \DynamicForms_Uploads directory, but the file upload is not there.  Thanks in advance for the help.

After further testing, I have a little more data to share:

If I remove the "AttachFiles" attribute in the body of the email, but leave the $(MyFileUpload) tag in, it will send the email with the rest of the text on the form -- however, no file is actually uploaded and the tag $(MyFileUpload) says just that in the body of the email -- there is no substitution of the file name or /path/filename as I think is supposed to be the case.

The fileupload (without the "AttachFiles" attribute in the body of the email) did work once -- when I used the following string:
"a href="$(MyFileUpload)">Click here to download this file"
(I posted the above string without the proper end tags so it wouldn't show up as a hyperlink in this post)

However, the link did not work.  The email went and the file did upload to the server in the correct directory.

In all cases, when I use the AttachFiles attribute it blows with an event log error as mentioned in the original post.

    Hi!

I have also problems with the file upload function.

I have created a Dynamic Email event, and it works fine until I write "AttachFiles" in the Email body as described in the user manual.
When adding "AttachFiles" it sends the email, but the body is completely empty.

If I remove "AttachFiles" and instead using the fields parameter the email is sent correctly and it also writes the path to the file where it is supposed to be, in the directory DynamicForms_Upload. But there is no file uploaded, the directory becomes empty.

    Please, can someone assist?

    Hi Petri,

The problem you are having is a bug with the program.  I can say this with confidence because DataSprings support confirmed that this was the case yesterday.  They have a patch available that fixes this issue.  I don't know if they have posted it yet on snowcovered.  If not, I would suggest posting a support request through snowcovered asking for the update.

Hi guys... Yes we also posted this as of Sunday evening so this does address this issue. This also address's problems with image fields not showing up correctly in email and SQL completion events.
