    I have a SQL driven checkbox group. How would I go about extracting the state of each checkbox to use in a stored procedure on form submission? I see the shortname of the group and the shortname_text, but I am not sure what these will provide me exactly.

    Hi. Yes, this is going to present you with a comma separated list of values. If you include them in an email event or add ?Debug=True to your querystring you should be able to get a good idea for what its going to provide you. This gets more complicated in situations such as this where you are dealing with multi-selection field types.

    Your options are:
    1. Pass the comma seperate list to the stored procedure and have it coded with TSQL to actually split the string up or do any type of logic there. Maybe even as simple as having a 'like' clause to see if a particular state exists in the entire selection?

    2. Setup the SQL completion event to be fire conditionally upon a users response. So if you had 5 responses you could setup 5 seperate events, and then setup five seperate SQL statements. So a SQL event would be setup/fired off for each response and you could tailor the SQL statement specific to that response.

    3. Use a field type such as single selection listbox, dropdownlist, or radio buttons, so as the field is not a multi selection field type.
