    Hi there

Just trying out your forms, some Q's

    a) Question mark icons - How do I get rid of them on the form?

    b)  Can I export/import data for each form from one DNN installation to another?

    c) Basically I want to export a form from a trial version of the module from my localhost to a full version on remote site.
    Possible without problem?

    d) There seems to be a problem with completion events form, often the user response field disappears when sending email. I can't get any text to be displayed to the user once the submit button is pressed (do get the email though). Solved in the full version?

    e) See below, notice the labels are all squashed up? How do we get around this. Note "This section is entirely optional" below the line, should be on one line", also tickboxes labels are squashed.

    Many thanks

    Alex

    Oh and last question

    f) The other thing is how do I alter the width of the form

I reduced the width or everything and it made no difference (breaks my skin).

The longest bit is the text:

"Note: This is a trial version of Dynamic Forms. To purchase the module you can visit www.datasprings.com or view other DotNetNuke Modules.

You can also review Dynamic Forms Demonstrations to see if you will be able to implement Dynamic Forms for your solution. Have questions? Post them to our product forums for Dynamic Forms. "

Seems far longer than everything else. Could this be what is increasing the width?

    Sorry I lied...

    g) We are almost ready to buy but the customer would like sections of the form to be divided up. Sure we can use

(lines) in between fields sections, but the customer would like the area highlighted in between with a background colour. Is that possible - how?.

    (g) Is my biggest issue right now, I managed to work out most (cheat) using the stylesheet on your website).

Let me know.... ready to go to paypal when we get answers....

    Thanks!

Hi Well you have full access to HTML so you could put any type of divider in there that you need to. There is no current way to make an entire section a specific background color that I know of though.

So there is no way to make issues look grouped other than the line divider (i.e. we can't shade areas or whatever).

The use case for the customer is that they want the required fields on the form to be shaded in a background colour, away from the non required fields of the form, it's got to all look as "one unit" so to speak to attract the eye away from the optional fields.

You say "full access to html", what do you mean by that (where is that on the module?).
Is the whole form skinable somewhere where we can use tokens, or are you talking about on a "per field" basis (in which case what we want to do is probably impossible), but where would that be?

    Many thanks Chad!

Hi. Well what I was referring to was actually using the TExt/HTML field, but that is a seperate field type. There is a possibility of something such as maybe using two HTML fields above/below each other with starting TABLE or DIV tags and ending TABLE / DIV tags etc.. I can't say we have a working copy of this though. So, unfortunatly I am not sure for this exact requirement the module has the ability to handle this specific feature. It would be a nice enhancement to add though.

Yes I tried that, I even tried hacking the database in case FCK was "correcting" the bad html (in it's eyes)... didn't work!

OK I guess that's one for the enhancement list!

Would be nice to get a response on a/b/c and d on the first post when you have the time. (e) was resolved with your template.

    Cheers!

    Hi. Sure,

    a. there is a setting under module configuration, general settings, to hide help icons.

    b. yes, you can choose to 'Export Content' and then 'Import Content' on another module instance. This will store all module configuration, questions, completion events, etc... You can also use this for all of our Dynamic Forms demonstrations (17 now) as you should be able to download the IPORTABLE XML file and then choose to Import content so that you have somewhere to start from.

    c. You can do this, but once you upgrade to the full version you will not need to recreate the form or anything. The standard or enterprise license will just install on top of the trial version.

    d. If the user response field disappears, it might be because you are using $(Field_FullResults). The full results is designed to skip the field if their is no response in the field. If you want to see the field even without a response you can just enter the label and choose $(Field) instead

Great thanks! Looks like a purchase will happen in next 24 hours or so. I guess there is no discount for DNN team members LOL!

Oh is skinning on your roadmap? Do I need to log the enhancement somewhere?
