I have a very simple test form, which sends 2 pieces of information to a Tailored Text module.  Additionally, the form completion event is supposed to post the entries to a database table.

The syntax for the 'Submit' form completion event is:

    INSERT INTO donationMain(Fname, Docs)
    VALUES($(Fname), $(Docs))

Both are text values.  The first is a text field, and the second the result of a radio button choice.

The submit event redirects to the Tailored text page as intended, and the data is properly passed as query string, but no data ever is loaded into the table.  There is also no error message.  Am I missing something here?

Hi. In these examples its always probably best to take your exact SQL query, put it under Host, SQL or query analyzer if you have that and replace the variables with your variables. In this case what you would find would be something like this:

    INSERT INTO donationMain(Fname, Docs)
    VALUES(Paul, TestLastName)

This would error out because it needs the ' and the beginning and end of the variables to show that its not an integer.

    So it should be:
    INSERT INTO donationMain(Fname, Docs)
    VALUES('$(Fname)', '$(Docs)')

    That should do it.
