I've looked around, but I can't find the option.

Is there a way to automatically CC the submitter of the form? I assumed I could do this with a "Form Completion" event, but I'm not sure what the variable for the submitter email would be. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. Yes there currently is no 'CC' option within Dynamic Events. You can set the email from and email to and you could add multiple address's to the email to by using a comma. I.e. youremail@yourdomain.com, $(UsersEmail) as the to email address would send it to both. I forget right now if you need to seperate it by comma or semi colon but one of those. If there is enough need we might add a CC option but we have not had many requests for this feature, especially since you can always setup as many events as you would like so you could always just create another event sending the same email. We will review the feature though.

I'm not looking for a "CC" field, in general. I guess what I'm looking for is for the module to send the submitter a copy of the form.

So, they login, fill out the form. I want them to get a copy along with whomever is in the "Form Completion" field. Is there a variable for this or a checkbox?

Hi. Well, yes there are a few ways of implementing this.

Option 1: Does your form have an email field? If so then just set the short field name to be MyEmail and then in the email to field of the dynamic event (or one of many dynamic events) use the token $(MyEmail)

Option 2: If users already are signed in/registered you can use the 'User default' field to pre-populate the users email address. If you don't want the user to ever see that field you might use the field type 'Hidden' and still name the short field name MyEmail. This way the user can get a message without having to enter his/her email address again.

After you choose from one of the options above you just need to create at least one Dynamic Event. Within the email to use the token $(MyEmail) if you want to create seperate events (one that the user gets and one that the admin gets would be a seperate event). If you want to just use one event in the Email To field use something like $(MyEmail), you@yourdomain.com. This way you could have one event and distribute it to the end user and also the administrator.

    Hope this helps.
