    Hi,

     

    I have a html field and in that i have placed the checkbox. I want to make this as a required field. How to use it.Please do reply sooooon

    HI Sherlock

    When you edit the field under "Manage Questions" in the Dynamic Forms Control Panel, you can maximize the "Question Validation" and click on the checkbox "Required Field". Also, be sure to make sure your page validation is set to either "Client Side Validation" or "Server Side Validation" or both under Dynamic Forms Module Configuration.

    I have a checkbox inside a text/html field. I tried to set it as required field.But then the required option is not enabled. Even though i set It doesn't show the required field validation error  when the submit button is clicked. Please advise on how to do it

    HI Sherlock
    It works fine on my test case.
    1) What version of DF and DNN are you running?
    2) Did you have some text entered under "Required Field Text" and "Required Field Error" to display error message when checkbox isn't checked?
    3) Also verify that client/server validation is turned on?
    4) Perhaps your form isn't submitting but you're not seeing the errors on the screen? Try a form redirection to home page on form completion event when checkbox isn't checked to see if it's actually redirecting and ignoring the required checkbox field
    5) if possible, can you duplicate a simple scenario under www.betasprings.com (username: host , password: dnnhost) and see if it does the same thing since my test case works fine.
