I am setting up an admin menu for our company. I need to use Dynamic registration to build the add user menu.

I want the admin to be able to add a user using a form I create with this module. Is this even possible?

When I try to do this now the fields are pre-populated with the admins info. I need these fields to be empty so they can add a user.

Also is there a way to edit the users using the form I set up. Currently it is using the built in user account tool. This doesn't work for me because I store the Contact name in the DNN:First name, Company name in DNN:Last Name etc......

Hi. Yes you can add and manage users with Dynamic Registration as well.

For adding users: I am going to check the latest release, I went to go give you the exact steps and realized the + icon at the bottom of the manage users grid is somehow missing in the most current release.

This link pointed to a URL like this:
    http://www.yoursite.com/default.asp...dUser=True

For editing users: When you are in Manage Users you can click on the Pencil Icon next to each userID to manage their profile.

Ill follow up on this shortly.

I just confirmed that even though the link is now missing from the manage users area you simply need to have:

    &AddUser=True

    to the URL.

    So http://www.yoursite.com/default.asp...dUser=True

The link above assumes that 1000 is the TabID that your Dynamic Registration module is on.

I am still seeing the built in DNN user management screen when I select manage users.

I was able to create a link for the add user using your work around.

However when I try to do the same workaround for the user management it doesn't work.

I need my moderator to be able to add/delete modify users without giving them full permissions to all admin rights built into dnn.

I am not seeing a user editor built into the module. It looks like it is using the DNN standard.

Another thing I noticed...If you go to manage users from within the module. You can not click next or go to another page of users. It goes right back to the registration form. So if they are not listed on the first page you can't edit them unless you search for their name directly.

I second this request! IMO, this is a big flaw with this module. A lot of the reason for this module is to allow non-admin users to manage users. The people in charge of managing users for me will not at all be people who should be adding questions/events, etc to the module.

Is this something that can make it into the next release?

Other than that, I think this module is GREAT.
