    Hello!
I've now another problem with the dynamic form module.
When I export the results to Excel the characters are bad encoding (the character "é" became "é").  I've the same problem in the mail who is sent when a form in completed.
I would like to do something to resolve this problem without modify the source code, do you know if it's possible?

And if I must modify the source code what must I do to resolve the problem?

    Thank you for your answers

    Hello!
After a few hours of research I found something to modify in the source code (the encoding of the email changed from "utf-8" to "iso-8859-1").
    But now I've another problem.
I don't know how to compile the source to create a .zip to install the module on my dnn site!
Can someone help me to do this operation? I don't found any thing about this on Internet.

    Thanks for your answers!

    Bye

    Mselle,

Hi. We are currently in the process of getting this fixed for the next release. Thanks for your comments above they are very useful as we debug and test this. If you are making changes directly you can just recompile the DLL and copy it to your DotNetNuke\bin directory.

Hi! Now I've fix the problem by changing the encoding directly in the source code. The same problem appear when we export the results to Excel. The encoding must be changed here too. I've compile the source and replace the dll in the bin directory and now everything is Ok! Now I understand better how works the dnn modules! Bye Mselle

Hi! I have the same problem with the encoding of the subject.
Can you give me an approach about where should I changed the code in order to fix that issue? I'm using dynamic form v2.6 thanks!

Hi. I believe that this was changed in the 2.7 release... We are also offering the ability to have 'Alternate Encoding' as an option within the module configuration area for the 3.0 release to manage this easier.

As far as the 2.6 release I believe you can search for 'Mail' in the source code and that is where its setting the encoding option.

    Hi again!

Sorry to insist, but I think you're confusing the encoding of the BODY with the encoding of the SUBJECT.

I searched Mail and there's no encoding parameter for the Subject (there's for the body).

I downloaded the v2.7 trial and I have the same issue with the Subject. In fact I see the coding in the subject email when registering to this site (I think you're using the new version, right?). I can fowared the email to you if you like.

One more thing, I see that using zimbra webmail.

    Thanks!
