    Does anyone do an easy way to remove the 'Click here to activate control' message in IE with this module?

    Hi. Yes this started as a result of a Microsoft Patch (KB912945).

    Users can remove the automatic patch directly from their computer using add/remove programs and we are also looking into alternative methods of rendering the flash application using javascript which we hope will end the madness with our module as least

     

    I believe Microsoft sold the patch as a security fix but the truth is that its related to a patent with a company called Eolas Technology (http://www.betanews.com/article/Mic...141233576) .

     

    I think we all need to call Eolas and say, ok you guys won your lawsuit now, can you please let Microsoft not enforce this anymore because its affecting a lot users on any web site using flash!

    Hi. Just wanted to follow up on this. We have a fix for this and will release it once we release v3.2 which should be within the next month. Fix is working good and you can test it on the main product page under Products, DNN Modules, Flash Image Rotator (you will notice that the click to activate over the flash object is now gone).
