Hi all - I'm trying to come up with a grand total by doing the following:

I want the sum of a CheckBox choice value and a TextBox value (the text box value needs to be multiplied by 2).

The ClientSide for the Checkbox is this:

    $(YourTotal) = CalculateCheckBoxListValues($(Service_FieldID), $(Service_ValueFieldID))
    $(FullTotal)=$(YourTotal),(2*$(ExtraPages))

Service is the CheckBoxField, YourTotal is a hidden field and Extra Pages is the TextFIeld.

The ClientSide for the ExtraPages field is:

    $(FullTotal)=$(YourTotal),(2*$(ExtraPages))

The FullTotal field is currently only displaying the checkbox total and not the ExtraPages total *2.  Can anyone help?

    Thanks!!!

HI Dan, if you want the sum, shouldn't you be adding and not placing a","? Your script should be: $(FullTotal)=$(YourTotal) + (2*$(ExtraPages))
Depending on how they are each formatted, you may need to parse it through the "int" function parseint. -- David

    Thanks David.  That did it

also, if a user prematurely hits enter and has not filled in a required form, the form reloads and the "total" field is lost (becomes blank).  Is there anyway to have that pre-populate on page load?

HI, try including the javascript as part of the page load under "module configuration", initial javascript. -- David
