Some of my "questions" are full on paragraphs and there appears to be a limit on the question length. Is there a work-around for this? If no, then I'm in big trouble and please make this field virtually unlimited. Also use the Short Name to display in the Question drop-down-list-box. If no Short Name, then put the Question value (abbreviated) in the Short Name value. |

I just went into the database and noticed that the field length for the Question field (i.e. column in the db) is set to 3000. My questions are not even close to 3000, but there is a much smaller limit on the Question entry textbox. Also, if it's too long, then it won't save either, very strange. |

Since the Question db column will allow 3000 characters, I tried to add the whole paragraph (i.e. my question) directly into the db column, but when I displayed the form, it cut it off anyway. Correction, it did display all of the question, so it looks like I'll have to modify all my questions directly in the db for now. |

Michael,
The column length is 3000 so that HTML field types can be entered. The only time the user interface allows for large text though is if you choose Text/HTML. Also, there was a bug that would only allow for 300 characters and its possible you would need to update your stored procedures to allow for 3000 as well (in case they were not changed). I believe the installation was supposed to change this to 3000 for you but I would have to check. We also don't suggest updating the database directly as this could end up having problems once you later go back to manage the question from within the manage questions area.
