    Hello

I am a bit new to dynamic forms.  We have clients that come to us consistently and we would like their experience to be easier when they return.  When they do a basic login (they are already registered) to our site we would like their info to be automatically entered into any form if they so choose to do one.  Is this possible?

    Thanks

    Josh

Hi Josh, user info can be populated in a form but you will need to create a form with the shortfieldname the same as their property profile or if not, then use the SQL binding statement "as". You use SQL binding to retrieve all the info of the user and their data will be populated in a DF form. The question is, what type of info are you storing per user? Is it their basic username, password, roles, etc (in the DNN user, userroles, userprofile tables) or are you planning on creating a form with new fields that will be saved to a database table? -- David

Hi. Let me offer a clarification. The shortfieldname doesn't have to be the same as the property profile. However, you do need to go to Advanced Field Options and make sure that in DotNetNuke User Default, you select the correct property profile to link this field to. So for example, First Name in the form needs to be linked to the DNN User Default of First Name. Hope that helps!
