I downloaded the demo files and got demo 21. When I try the same with my own form I can't get the data bind to work correctly on the row edit.

My Initial SQL statement works fine if I hard code the condition - e.g. SELECT TestName from TestForm WHERE TestId = 1). But when I use the parameter - i.e. SELECT TestName from TestForm WHERE TestId =  $(TestId) - then the form values are not loaded (even though the url parameter is successfully loaded to the field TestId).

Is there some setting I'm missing?

Hi, for SQL binding, you need to use values DSParam1, DSParam2 and DSParam3. So when you pass your value to dynamic forms, your select statement would be:
SELECT TestName from TestForm WHERE TestId = '$(DSParam1)'

Another words, rename your shortfield name that you're passing in the querystring to DSParam1 and retrieve it from query string variable. -- David

    Thanks David

It works if I use DSParam1 or DSParam2 or DSParam3 as the parameter name, but not for any other names! What if I need more than 3 parameters?

Hi David, then you're out of luck. I believe DF can support up to three named parameters (DSParam1,DSParam2 and DSParam3). And they must be named as such. If you need more than 3 parameters. then the best option I believe would be a stored procedure with inner join statements to somehow extract the information you need with only 3 parameters. -- David
