FIrstly, I am new to dynamic forms.  Secondly, I am impressed with the product overall.

I am using dynamic forms to build an online job application.  Everthing was going smoothly until I tried to use a data grid for some experience and work history queries.  I can easily format the grid the way that I would like (thanks to the excellent functionality that dynamic forms provides) but I am having a real problem getting the grid to format with the rest of the form.

When I add the data grid, it destroys all of the formatting above it.  My guess is that it expands the entire column that it is in depending upon how much information I add (how long the row becomes).  When I change the column span value to "2" the formatting above becomes correct, but the data grid gets shifted over into the second column.

What I want is for the left boundary of the data grid to line up with the rest of the questions in the frist column.  My guess is that this has to be done with css, but as I am not super experiencec with css, I don't know what class I need to change to fix the issue, or if I can apply a class to this one question.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Miguel

    Hi Miguel,

Can you please try setting the column span to 10 and see what happens?  Also, please switch to View Mode instead of Edit Mode as sometimes, the View Mode actually looks different.  Thanks!

    Candace

Setting Column span to "10" shoots the grid to the far right of the other columns and expands the page to about 200% of normal size. Switched to "view mode" no change.

How about putting the field and label on the same column (in Look and Feel)?  Does that help?

Putting the field label on the same column didn't help...but the problem was different after I did that--the labels on the above formatting were on one side of the page and the fields were on the other. I then changed the column span to 10, and the combination of the two changes solved the problem. Go figure. Thanx SO much for your help Candace!
