I'm trying to install Dynamic Forms on a DNN 5.2.3 installation.  It installs fine but when put the module on a page I get the following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'System.Web.Extensions, Version=1.0.61025.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' 

Has anyone any suggestions?

HI, perhaps there's something wrong with your web.config file. Try the following:

Edit your web.config file and capitalize all the letters that the PublicKeyToken is set to: ie:

PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'

to

PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35'

Hi David - thanks for the quick reply. There were lowercase characters in the web.config - two references - I capitalized them but to no avail. Also, it turned out there were problems with some other modules as well. I have many other DNN installs on the same server and they all were OK.

As this particular installation had been upgraded several times, I decided the surest solution was was to recreate the site from a clean 5.2.3 install - bit of a hassle but now it works just fine again. So it remains a mystery why this error occured.

DNN Upgrade to 5.3.1.

Actually, this is a trial of DR just downloaded, not DF.

Yes, this is a new install of DR trial.

I tested it in december and was working. It is now time to do the switch on my site and wanted to test it a last time on my local DNN installation that is a copy of my live site.

Version of DR is 4.0.40

Great. I knew it was related to something in the web.config file but don't know what since I don't know what yours looked like. Glad you found the problem. -- david
