When we add an HTTP Post completion event to post the results to salesforce, when a user submits the form, an "Object Reference not set to an instance of the object" error page is loaded.

This error occurs even if we leave the HTTP Post field blank.

Here is the post url generated from salesfoce.

    https://www.salesforce.com/servlet/servlet.WebToLead?encoding=UTF-8

    Here is the Post

    %oid=$(oid)%lead_source=$(lead_source)%first_name=$(first_name)%last_name=$(last_name)%title=$(title)%company=$(company)%phone=$(phone)%email=$(email)%street=$(street)%city=$(city)%state=$(state)%zip=$(zip)

The following event is then written to the DNN Events.

    A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

HI, are you certain the HTTP is supposed to use % and not &? -- David

I've tried both methods (using the % and the &.

Even if I leave the Post field completely blank, it still errors.

HI, Dynamic Forms 2.7 is a very old version. Can you export your form to www.betasprings.com(username: host, password: dnnhost) and see if your form will work on this test site with the latest version of DF? -- David

It looks like everything is working correctly from the Betasprings site. Additionally, salesforce does use & instead of % in the HTTP Post EG: &FirstName=$(first_name)

Is the only way for us to get this working to upgrade to version 3.x?

HI, yes I believe this may be the case since DF 2.7 is a very old version that was out before DNN 4.09 and higher and perhaps not suitable for HTTP post with Salesforce, etc. that's the latest. -- DAvid
