I may have backed myself into a corner here....  I'm using a listbox to display a list of schools.  As part of the larger form, the submitter can select multiple schools from the list.  However, I just noticed that some of the entries already have commas - i.e. "Baxton Elementary, 1234 Main Street, Some City, AK, 12345".  I just realized that the module uses commas to separate the records.

By some miracle, does DF encode the values of the selected items, is it possible to change the delimiter or am I just SOL?

My predecessor had originally created the form with 10 separate single selection lists - I was hoping to do the same thing in 1 with multiple selections.

Hi, how about using a checkbox group instead? This might work better for you than listbox. -- David To

Too many options to use checkboxes. We're scheduling events with schools so our list of schools is quite lengthy - all the schools in a 32 county area. My only real option is a listbox at this point.

Having said that, I just went and looked closer at the database and closing events and found the solution.  As they were using the school  info for the Question Option and Value, I assumed that there was a specific reason for it.  But, after following all the closing events, dynamic e-mails, editing screens and so on, it appears to have been a matter of convenience more than anything - made it easier to write the SQL queries to display that information in e-mails and review pages.  Also, the table of  schools, while pretty normalized, was using the name of the school as the primary key.  I just added a new field, make it unique and set it as the PK and problem solved.
