using the latest DNN dynamicforms, I'm trying to set the combo box values usng SQL that is based on a user's dnn profile but can't get it to fire on page load properly.

    this is what I have.
    1. hiddenfield1 with REGION in it
    2. combobox with Select something as optionvalue, soemthingelse as optionvaluetext where region = '$(hiffenfield1)'

the first time they hit the page it's actually sending the value of '$(hiddenfield1)' instead of the one from the hidden field.  If I set a question event and force a reload of the page, it puts in the proper value... but I don't need/want a question event on this page.

is there anyway to get it to load the proper values on the load of the page?

actually let me correct that last statement, it sends the value of '' on page load even though there is something in the hiddenfield.

    Hi Robb,

Is the sort order on the hidden field 'BEFORE' the sort order on the combo box?

Another option is to skip the Hidden field directly and use the $(UserID) token in your query. You would then be something like this:

where region = (Select PropertyValue from UserProfile Where UserID= $(UserID) and PropertyDefinitionID = 35)

This would be assuming your property definition ID was 35 for the 'Region' profile field. You can find this out under admin, user accounts, manage profile properties if you hover over the 'Region' area and see the ID in the hyperlink.
