Having purchased Dynamic Forms version 3.4 for it's advanced look&feel options, I tried to create the following form (with two fields in the same cell):

    Name
    Address
    Zip / City

To achieve this, I checked the options 'same line', 'same cell', 'label&field in same column' and 'hide label' in the City field.

    This results in :

    Name
    Address
    Zip / City

Whatever I try, I don't seem to be able to get rid of the empty cell between the double label and double field columns.

In the end I added column span 2 for all other field to get the right result, but this is obviously very tedious work, especially in large forms.

Is there any way to get rid of this empty cell or is this how the feature is implemented?

    Hello TheDad,

Usually I never have to use the same cell feature but please check the example I have created for you:

    http://Beta-Springs.com/Dynamic-For...fault.aspx

Look at the page in View mode and you will see it looking the way you wanted.

    The login credentials are:

    Host     /     dnnhost

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hello TheDad,

If you follow the example I provided for you, I'm sure you can use that to achieve what you're trying. You will only need to expand this concept to accept 4 combo boxes.

If you have any questions please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I followed your example and all worked UNTIL I got to the 2nd row of combos, then it went WACKY.

Did you see my settings in the example I posted?

    Hello TheDad,

This was the cleanest look I could get for the scenario your presented me with.

Hello, whats is the trick for this issue?

I also have two fields in the same cell, but the hidden label for the second field appears to still cause a serious amount of whitespace to be inserted.

I assume the solution could be found in the demo's mentioned above, but they are no longer online. I suggest at least providing some written info in the thread for future reference..

There never was any proper solution except for the laborious "colspan" work-around that I had to use in the first place. The demo was of no use.
