Just trying to perform a basic multiplication function and I've tried so many things that I'm just confusing myself going in circles. I cannot get anything to display or function.
I've tried doing client-side events, I've tried making a Javascript event in the display after sumbit message, the actual field in TEXT/HTML code, using the custom Javascript code in General Settings, nothing works.
What would be the best way to go about doing this basic example...
I have a Drop-Down field of the token "$(Quantity)". The options are integers from 1-7, with the values also being 1-7.
I want to multiply this value by 2950 (or any integer just for testing purposes right now).
I'd like to get this total displayed in a new field, simply called "Total".
- Can the "Total" field simply be a Text/HTML field?
- Can this function be performed on the form itself, or in a thank you/save after message (or both)?
- Do I go in the "Total" field and make a client-side event such as...
$(Total) = (parseInt($(Quantity)*2950).toFixed(2);
document.write(("$" + $(Total));
???
Thanks,
Jack
