    Hi all

    please forgive me as this is the first time I have ever posted to a forum. I am currently trying to build a timecard and vacation request form that once filled out passes to an approval stage. the problem I'm running into is I can't figure out how to pass the filled out form on to another page where it will then be approved by a manager. any help with this would be very appriciated. another issue I'm running into with the time card is simply finding a way to setup the form to allow entry of a start date that then auto fills a set of 2 weeks that can then be filled with hours. again any help would be great.

    Hi Scott,

    There are a number of ways to implement this, depending on your specific needs.

    1. One way is to use something similar to Deom 23 in www.datasprings.com/formdemos if you just want a simple process. The employee uses Dynamic Forms to submit a vacation request, an email is sent to HR or Manager with a link to edit the form. When HR views the form, they will see additional fields (visisble to their role only) to approve or deny the request and maybe a comments field. When they hit submit, an email goes back out to the employee.

    2. Another way is to use Dynamic Forms in combination with Dynamic Views similar to Demo 30, or a 3rd party reporting modules like you'll find in Demos 14 and 21. This may be a bit more complex to set up but it will give your employees and HR more features and capabilities.

    Hi Candace

    Thank you so much for your response literally gave me the missing link. I am now just working out the kinks so that I get the right emails to the right people but that is all fairly easy. My preliminary test have been excellent by the way the first method you gave is the one I'm using. The pointers you gave helped me realize what the demo was actually showing. again thank you so much for your help if I run into anymore problems I will let you guys know.
