    Using DF ver 3.4 on DNN 5.06.01
    I have a text box field that I want to encrypt when it is sent to the database. I have checked the box to encrypt the data, but entries  appear in the database as regular text. Is there another step that I am missing?

    Hi - Well the Encrypt/Decrypt methods are really only used/useful for the built in saving of the data within the DynamicForms_QuestionResponse tables. This is because our module uses our own routines to encrypt and decrypt that data. So, if you were to go to look at that data within our tables, it would be storing the data as an encrypted value... and if you go to View Results within our module, it would know to decrypt the data. If we encrypted the data when it was stored in your own database tables, your really would not know how to decrypt the data to ever actually get that data.

    You could pass the data to a stored procedure and encrypt the data like that... You might review this forum thread:
