    Hi

I'm a bit new to Dynamic Forms so excuse my ignorance. I'm using version 2.5.

I have a collection of forms that are used as steps for collecting various information from a user.  The problem is if the user completes a step saves their data and logs out planing to login and continue later.

The form needs to recognise the user and populate the form with the data they have already entered.  I've tried setting the Default Value using an SQL query but it doesn't seem to return anything.

Here is an example of the SQL I'm entering.  Saw it used on another post, not sure if it's right.

    Select $(PFB) As DefaultValue

PFB is the short name for a textbox.

Is it actually possible to do this with 2.5 or even 2.7?

    Cheers...

    Aaron,

Hi. Unfortunatly Dynamic Forms does not currently support a 'Save for later' feature. We have had a few clients have a checkbox at the bottom of the form that shows 'Form is finished' and then allows the user to save the form, but later uses a feature to come back to it (demonstrated in #14 covering work flow with forms) so that they can edit their form. You could have a completion event fired off to send them the edit link and/or have another event fired off to save the data to a seperate table if you wanted to when they checked the box that they were finished.

We are working on cleaning method (actually the Save for Later feature was on the 2.7 roadmap but was held back as it was going to hold the release too far).

    -Chad

    Thanks Chad

I'll see if I can create a work around till 2.8 is released.

    Cheers...
