    Hi,

In "System messages- display after save message" I have a basic table 2 columns 10 rows. When adding another row or table or text below the existing table and then update message & update settings it doesn't get saved.

When returning to the System messages it shows the same table and text without changes. I've tried this on demo-test site wth the same results. Is there a limit with those 'system messages'?

In the demo site I've used :
    http://www.betasprings.com/Valuefro...fault.aspx

try adding another row, or copy and paste the table

    Thanks

    Sean,

Hi. Well currently the 'Display After Message' is limited to 2000 characters or less. This has never really been an issue in the past but we might review this in the future so that it can be larger. For now I would review your HTML and see if there is anyway you can setup the message to be less than 2000 characters.  I did check and this display after message had around 1400, I added another row but did have problems saving more characters so ill will review and test this. The editor does save it you enter data and choose 'Basic Textbox' before you click 'Update Message'. I would go this route first.

So... 1. Make sure your HTML is less than 2000 characters and 2. If you still have problems choose Basic Textbox after making your changes but before clicking on the Update Message link.

    -Chad

    Hi Sean,

First off, I moved your page under Dynamic Forms.  Here's the new link:

    http://www.betasprings.com/Dynamic-...fault.aspx

When I reviewed your page, I was able to add new columns and add new rows.  Can you test this again, please?  If you are able to add rows and columns, will this fix you up?

I didn't get to copy and paste the table.  I was able to add a new table above but not below.  Still reviewing this part.

    Hi Chad & Candace,

Thanks for having a look at this .

I've tried adding some rows in the small tables (first choosing  basic textbox) and that works ok. Adding or copying a new table still gives weird results( ie part of the table border missing and characters missing whilst the 'source' looks ok) I didn't count them but I'm sure I am below the 2000 treshold.

    Hi Sean,

We looked at this again and found that we are able to add more characters in there using the Basic Text Editor and it saved ok.  We're not sure what's going with the table and you may have to send us in zip what exactly you're copying and pasting.  Let me ask you though, if you start a new table over again with the right number of columns and rows, do you still have problems with how it comes out?

    Hi Candace,

-I've created a new table 2 columns, 20 rows with some text in them.

-the # of characters including spaces in Basic textbox = 1328

    -saving and updating the table

-opening again it appears that not all 20 rows have been saved. Only 1277 characters have been saved.

Now, it could be that I'm counting wrong. What I did is copy and paste the characters from the Basic text box into a Word document and count them there. When you select 'source' and count the characters & spaces there you get about 1980 characters. Which makes more sense if the limit is 2000 characters
