Is there a way to set-up the HTTP post completion event to submit all the fields on the form without having to enter in each one into the 'HTTP Post' area.

We are working on a solution where a user could add more fields to the form and it would be submitted to a .aspx page via HTTP Post to be processed and recorded in the database.  Our problem is we need a solution that can post to the database easily without the user creating the form knowing db code.

Any thoughts on this would be very helpful

    Chad,

Hi. We will review adding a feature to either manually enter the http post parameter, or 'automatically pass all tokens and values via HTTP Post'. Typically admins would want to enter them because the short field name wouldn't always match up, for example you might want to pass &FirstName= even though your short field name is FNAME etc.... In your case though I am assuming the ASP.NET App is just looping through all form fields passed and saving these to the database? If so, we should be able to add this to a future release.

Has this feature been added yet? We're on version 3.30.0 and could really use this feature. We want most of the forms on our site to silently post data to another page which will be recording that data. The problem is we have way too many forms for it to be feasible for our semi-technical admins to specify each and every field.

I just checked and see that 3.3 is the latest verison. Any chance the next release will contain this feature?

    Hello Jon,

Yes this feature will be added in a future Dynamic Forms but not the next version Dynamic Forms 3.4 as for the development on this version is almost wrapped up. Dynamic Forms 3.5 has a good chance of having this feature implemented. If this is a feature that you simply can't wait for, we can implement this for you. If this is a route you would like to take I I would recommend picking up Premium Support hours. I would start out with purchasing the minimum which is 6 hours because this is the estimated time for the feature you're proposing.

If you have any additional comments or questions please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

HTTP command used to send text to a Web server for processing. The POST method is widely implemented
in HTML files for sending filled-in forms to the server, updating databases and sending e-mail. In certain cases, POST is used to retrieve data in a similar manner to the HTTP GET command.

    Hello Judita,

Thank you for your input on HTTP POST and explaining how this works. I'm sure people will have this question in the future and they will be able to reference this page for information. The only problem is your link, it's not forwarding to the site you have it linked to.

    Thanks again,

    Ryan
